Help us remove the tax from essential medications

“Chronic Illness is Taxing Enough”

– Bedrocan Canada

Currently, medical marijuana (MMJ) is the only prescription medication in Canada on which patients pay tax. The far more dangerous and less effective narcotics are tax-free and often government-subsidized. Meanwhile MMJ is subject to GST (and HST where applicable) and has never received a Drug Identification Number, meaning that health plans won’t cover it either.

Bedrocan Canada, one of Canada’s first dozen Licensed Producers, has started an online petition to remove the taxes from MMJ. Please sign and share this e-petition: https://petitions.parl.gc.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-190. #TaxingEnough
